The BTC x adidas adidas superstars Originals Forum Hi Hustler's Crest' was inspired by a young Frank Rivera seeing street hustlers rocking a special makeup of Forums roughly two decades ago in his hometown of Wooster Worcester. They stood out against the mass of Superstar shelltoes that dominated the Boston area around that time and stood out to Frank to the extent that over twenty years later, he was looking to recreate some of that fast life luxury with three monochromatic lux suede designs that add a unique gold and black embroidery to their lateral ankles. Yeah, so what I really wanted to achieve with Tubular was I wanted to create a silhouette which would be instantly recognizable. So it wasn't so much about worrying about the lines on the product themselves they were secondary but it was all about the silhouette, so this kind of very instantly recognizable sole unit, the Tubular unit. And then what to balance with that to create the overall silhouette, and what adidas boost I wanted to create was a very dynamic sock look.So I created the dynamic sock, but I still wanted it to be supported, so the neoprene was the base and then I looked how I could use stitch-free materials in the forefoot to make it more progressive.
And I see in Originals, we really have the chance to amplify that. We're one of those adidas spezial brands with such a rich heritage and I really want to take that.I think what's interesting is that we're a brand with a great heritage; people understand us. I don't think it's as simple as bringing a shoe back one-to-one. I think people understand Adidas on a deeper level. They'll recognize a gillie or a fabric or a moment in time, and it's how do we take those things? I think we have to take people on a journey, but they still have to see where the journey started.It's interesting, because I was thinking about this. Our brand reaches much further back than the 90s, of course, but what I think is interesting about the 90s in particular was that it was a real boom in adidas los angeles manufacturing.
For this project, they're recalling 50 Cent and his infamous G-Unit footwear with Reebok that first emerged in the early 2000s, with the tri-color strike at outer forefoot directly transferred over from the G6 silhouette. Two colorways are in the works for an October 26th release, so take a look below and stay tuned for this impressive nod to one of the more notorious eras of Reebok history.adidas has plans to add burgundy to its illustrious Ultra Boost series with touches of orange mixed into its Primeknit upper as well. First shown at the end of 2017 , it appears that those images were merely just a sample, as the official images you see below sport a burgundy heel as opposed to the orange one you saw before.
It is also apparent that black laces will come alongside this iteration instead of the black and orange look that was initially shown. As of now, there is no exact release date available, but this clean Ultra Boost 4.0 colorway should arrive at adidas retailers in February.
