TV in 2021: Upcoming shows on the small screen

As with many areas of daily life, the coronavirus outbreak will have a significant and ongoing impact on television production in 2020.The new security protocol means that high-end drama in particular cannot be produced at the same rates as before.It creates uncertainty as to what will arrive on our TV screens in 2021, but that doesn't mean the next 12 months won't see the most popular and possibly excellent shows.(The date of sending will be received upon acknowledgment)


Doctor Who (BBC One)

The time-travel drama returns for the New Year, at least of slotxo course, with Jodie Whittaker's Doctor playing the show's most famous antagonist in Revolution of the Daleks again (Whittaker's best episode in Tardis). What is less certain is when the next full series will air. Production is underway, but Covid-19's limitations mean the crew is targeting eight episodes instead of 11 (including one for the festival) over the past few years. The new series, reaching its audience in 2021, is still a plan, but like any other show, uncertainty means it can't change.


WandaVision (Disney +)

The first images from Marvel's spin-off series feature characters Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) living in what appears to be a sitcom-inspired suburban life. But there is something dark and mysterious hiding in the edge. As with all Marvel series, it is designed to be enjoyed as a standalone story, but Kevin Feige, the executive producer who oversees the entire Marvel Universe, has confirmed that it will lead the event on the big screen of the movie. Marvel continues, especially Doctor Strange, the sequel to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness starring Benedict Cumberbatch in 2022.


Sex Studies (Netflix)

Production was performed on the third series of the comedy earlier this month. This honest and straightforward review of the sex life and frustrations of student groups at Moordale Secondary has made Sex Education very popular with younger audiences, as well as helping to gain higher education. Accepted at a prestigious award ceremony In recent months, Ncuti Gatwa has won both the Royal Television Society and the Bafta Scotland Award for his performance in the second series. Conversations with Friends is being adapted for TV, although no cast or broadcast details have yet to be revealed. But the synopsis of the latest series mean it appears to be focusing on identifying four quarters of corrupt police officers, with fans already speculating whether the culprit will be a new character or the police. The officer we already know?


Landscapers (Atlantic sky)

Oscar winner Olivia Colman gets the lead role in this real-life crime drama based on the events of Nottingham in 1998.This four-part series will explore how Christopher and Susan Edwards. A sober husband and wife kill Susan's parents. Buried in their garden. The crime was not discovered for more than a decade until the couple were arrested, sentenced and jailed in 2014. Production was delayed due to the original director's departure and due to the effects of Covid-19, but the film.
